Consultant Restorative Dentist

Mr Nick Lewis qualified with Honours at Newcastle University and undertook junior hospital posts at Newcastle Dental Hospital within the departments of Restorative Dentistry and Maxillofacial surgery. He moved to London in 2003 and undertook further maxillofacial training at UCLH and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

He commenced higher specialist training at the Eastman Dental Hospital in Restorative Dentistry in 2004, including completion of a Masters in Conservative Dentistry in 2007. He completed his specialty fellowship in Restorative Dentistry in 2008 and was appointed as a Consultant at the Eastman/ UCLH in 2009. He was clinical lead in Prosthodontics at the Eastman from 2010-2014.

His main clinical interests are centred on the placement and restoration of dental implants and the dental management of head and neck oncology patients. Mr Lewis is currently the Course Director for the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FGDP) Diploma in Restorative Dentistry and is a Regional Dental Advisor for RCS Edinburgh. He also currently sits on the Health & Science Advisory Committee of the British Dental Association. Mr Lewis is based as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford and also maintains a private practice with his wife Jane Lewis.
